Options and special information
- Extremely flexible 4-jaw manual lathe chuck
With the new 4-jaw manual lathe chuck ROTA-M flex 2+2, SCHUNK combines the advantages and functions of 2, 3, and 4-jaw chucks on lathes and of vises on mill/turn machines. The pairs of coupled jaws, which are part of a patented drive concept, ensure that the workpieces are centrally clamped, thus avoiding overdetermination. - With the flexible ROTA-M flex 2+2, it is possible to clamp round, cubic and geometrically bulky workpieces. A special seal prevents the ingress of chips and coolant. This protects the internal mechanics so that cast or forged parts can also be machined without hesitation. From size Ø 630 mm and upwards, the chuck has a lighter design, especially for mill/turn centers.
