Titan Gilroy and SCHUNK have a great deal in common: Both share a great enthusiasm for new technologies, are passionate about encouraging young talented people, and an open transfer of knowledge. These values are also reflected in the articles that Titan Gilroy, CEO and founder of TITANS of CNC Inc, regularly publishes. With about 900,000 subscribers on YouTube, 150,000 on LinkedIn and half a million followers on Instagram, he inspires the world of CNC machining. His videos illustrate complex manufacturing technologies and inspire young people in particular.

SCHUNK products manufactured with SCHUNK technology

At SCHUNK, Johannes Ketterer, COO/CSO, guided Titan Gilroy through the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and showed him how SCHUNK is driving forward automated parts loading and machining in its own manufacturing facility. "We equip machines and systems with high-precision components from toolholding and workholding, gripping and automation technology – everything that is needed," he explains and adds: "We manufacture SCHUNK products here using SCHUNK products."

Titan Gilroy knows the importance of automation: New and faster manufacturing processes are needed in response to the shortage of skilled workers and the pressure to deliver faster, cheaper, and with the best quality. Highly productive machines alone are not enough. A new level of productivity can only be achieved through the fully automated loading and unloading of the systems, combined with precise parts handling. SCHUNK offers the necessary components, but also the application know-how to integrate them optimally into any manufacturing process.

“Healthy Factory” meets the spirit of the age

At SCHUNK, automation means an increase in productivity, but also the creation of an ergonomic, secure, and attractive working environment. Titan Gilroy's target group in particular, Generation Z, attaches great importance to health and responsibility. The idea of healthy production – a “Healthy Factory” – exactly matches the values of his followers.

Commitment to the next generation

Titan Gilroy provides inspiration with his e-learning platform "TITANS of CNC Academy", which offers pupils, students and professionals free access to knowledge about CAD, CAM, CNC, grinding, additive manufacturing and measurement technology. The innovative curriculum, supported by videos, is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or technical background, and teaches the latest developments in manufacturing technology.

This commitment is made possible through cooperation with industrial partners such as SCHUNK, from whom Titan Gilroy regularly obtains information about the latest technology trends and developments. As a technology pioneer, SCHUNK maintains an open exchange with expert platforms such as TITANS of CNC, and invests in training and promoting its own talented employees in order to prepare the next generation of specialists for the challenges of the modern world of manufacturing.

At the AMB in September 2024, SCHUNK will be presenting a variety of automation options for robot-assisted machine loading as well as numerous innovations for automated manufacturing. Visit us in Hall 1, Booth 1G30.
