Germany is known for its art of engineering and innovative strength, particularly when it comes to the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. In the Netherlands as well, renowned technology pioneers are shaping progress in growth sectors such as the electronics and semiconductor industries and medical technology. In order to further expand the cooperation between German and Dutch high-tech companies, a Dutch business delegation visited selected mechanical engineering companies in Baden-Württemberg, which included SCHUNK as an important automation partner in these key industries. The trip was organized by the Brabant regional development agency BOM, the Brainport Industries network organization and the VDMA. The participants are suppliers of global OEMs and members of the Dutch high-tech network "Brainport Industries", which aims to sustainably strengthen value chains through cooperation.
On the second day of their innovation trip, the delegation visited the SCHUNK headquarters in Lauffen and the neighboring automation plant in Brackenheim-Hausen. There, they were given exclusive insight into the automation and production processes at SCHUNK. In the CoLab robot application center, there was an open, lively exchange about current trends and automation solutions in dynamic industry fields such as E-Mobility and Life Science. In addition to networking, the focus was primarily on collaboration opportunities: The aim here is to strengthen the complex supply chains of the high-tech sector and to promote growth and competitiveness over the long term. SCHUNK CTO Timo Gessmann summed up the core idea: "By joining forces and maintaining an open technological dialog, we combine our strengths and overcome challenges together. This synergy enables us to achieve sustainable international success in key sectors such as electronics and lLfe Sciences."
