Options and special information
- For new applications, please use the successor product, the SRU-plus.
- The holder for the inductive sensors are always delivered with the OSE. For the monitoring of two end position, two sensors are required and for the middle position a third is required. The available cycle time should be completely used for the swivel cycle.
- The air flow can be restricted via the supplied flow control valves, thus reducing the angular velocity. By reducing the angular velocity shock absorbers will not be overloaded and will have a longer service life.
- For selecting the proper rotary unit, we recommend using the SCHUNK SSE rotary sizing software which is available on CD or can be downloaded online. Sizing the swivel unit is necessary to prevent overloading.
- Customized angles of rotation are available on request.
- The pneumatic center position tends to overshoot if there is a large assembly inertia. A locked center position can help (only available for SRU). "A" (turn right) and "B" (retract left) and "C" (center position) are the main connections, "a" and "b" are the associated direct connections. The pinions are marked in the left-hand end position and turn right from here (see "direction of rotation")
- The pinion connection image for versions with a 90o rotation angle is rotated 90o clockwise from the drawings. Please observe the minimum allowable bending radius of the sensor cables, which is generally 35mm. Detailed information can be found in our Accessories catalog.
