The Heilbronn Slush’D is an organized startup festival by Campus Founders that brings together founders, companies, investors, and researchers. The event clearly demonstrated the amount of innovative power that emerges when diverse perspectives and skills come together. The shared goal: shaping new solutions for the future – in line with a growing European culture of innovation.
In the panel, ”Who is driving corporate co-innovation with startups? Timo Gessmann (CTO at SCHUNK) discussed together with Stephan-Daniel Gravert (Chief Product Officer at mimic robotics), Dr. Henning Löser (Head of P-Lab at Audi AG) and David Reger (CEO & Founder of NEURA Robotics) how successful collaboration between startups and established companies can be achieved. Among other things, the focus was on the following questions: How do genuine innovation partnerships emerge? And how can new ideas be quickly brought to market? The lively discussion demonstrated that co-innovation has long been a decisive success factor for the industry of tomorrow.
Another highlight was the joint live demonstration with NEURA Robotics: Using the 5-finger gripping hand, SCHUNK showcased how decades of experience in precision and gripping technology can be applied to new fields in humanoid robotics. The demo clearly illustrated the potential that arises from combining industrial expertise with fresh innovative power – from research to practical implementation.
”When industry, academia, and startups pool their know-how, everyone wins: we achieve functional demonstrators faster, our partners gain access to industrial testing environments, and our customers benefit from solutions that can be scaled more quickly,“ emphasizes Gessmann.
