Options and special information
- Robust lightweight chuck with up to 40% reduced moment of inertia at highest rigidity
The SCHUNK ROTA NCE combines lightweight design, maximum bearing load capacity, and an extraordinary design language. The geometry of the lathe chuck was adapted to the power flow so that despite the lightweight geometry, a maximum rigidity is ensured. Compared to conventional lathe chucks, the inertia is reduced by up to 40% depending on the size. Starting with size 400, the chucks can also be equipped with a centrifugal force compensator that counteracts the loss of clamping force at high speeds, thereby enabling higher machining speeds. Therefore the SCHUNK ROTA NCE offers ideal conditions for high process dynamics and productivity at minimum energy consumption; moreover, it is particularly suitable for the energy management certification according to DIN EN ISO 50001.
