By establishing the nonprofit foundation "Humanoid Robotics and Embodied AI", SCHUNK, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, and the BURGER GROUP aim to significantly accelerate the transfer of humanoid robotics into industrial practice. Through education and research projects, expertise and skills will be systematically expanded, and results will be transferred into industrial applications more swiftly. For SCHUNK, the initiative is another step toward establishing itself in the long term as a leading global technology partner and supplier of humanoid robot hands.

At AMB 2026, SCHUNK will demonstrate productivity throughout the entire process chain – from workpiece and tool clamping, to automated machine loading and unloading. Visitors will experience how consistent sequences, short setup times and high repeat accuracy can make existing machine capacities more cost-effective.

At ILA Berlin 2026, SCHUNK showcased from June 10 to 12, 2026, how demanding manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry can be implemented reliably, precisely, and cost-effectively. The focus was on solutions for workpiece and tool clamping technology as well as automation concepts that reduce setup times, support reproducible quality, and improve manufacturing scalability-even for complex components and difficult-to-machine materials.
