At the German Robotics Conference 2026 in Cologne, SCHUNK and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) agreed to further expand their cooperation in the field of humanoid robotics. The cooperation aims to accelerate the transfer of technology to industry and advance the fine motor capabilities of humanoid robot hands for new automation applications.

SCHUNK’s 6-axis force/torque sensor FTS has been awarded first place in the "Robotics, Handling, and Assembly Technology" category of the "INDUSTRIAL Production Products of the Year 2026" competition. Through the readers' choice award, the trade magazine honors innovative solutions that provide new impetus for industrial production.

The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) honors Kristina I. Schunk, CEO of SCHUNK, as one of eleven women worldwide who are significantly shaping the future of robotics. The award highlights the company’s strategic role as a pioneer and driving force in AI-based, adaptive robotics, as well as in digital automation solutions.

SCHUNK Electronic Solutions is strengthening its position in electronics manufacturing. By acquiring Achat Engineering GmbH, the company is expanding its portfolio to include board handling and AOI classification systems. As a result, its modular machine platform is evolving into an all-in-one solution offering – from stand-alone to fully integrated inline systems – for efficient, fully automated electronics production.
