CES is an electric tool changer that is being specially developed for applications in electrified production environments. The aim is to provide a solution that works fully electrically, even with high payloads, and can be integrated into modern production architectures without any pneumatic infrastructure.
The CES is based on a proven mechanical platform and its geometry is based on the CPS pneumatic tool changer, thus enabling the transfer of existing integration concepts.

Body welding in automotive production with CES
In automated body-in-white manufacturing, the CES supports the use of welding guns in increasingly electrified production lines. As an electric tool changer, it enables operation without compressed air supply and contributes to a consistent, electric system architecture.
By integrating directly into the network topology, the integration effort is reduced. At the same time, even in applications such as body-in-white welding, high payloads can be handled safely and different end-of-arm tools can be used flexibly.
